We stayed in Honeysuckle Guesthouse in Clarende by Mercia for 2 days and 2 nights, and it was brilliant. The room(s) with attached kitchenette and terrace are very comfortable and good. And Mercia is a fantastic hostess who serves a very tasty, acsurprising and ac very healthy breakfasts. We have only one final word to sum up our stay: SUPER! And when the sign hangs on the fence it is very easy to find :-)

A most charming place in a quiet and gorgeous environment. Clarens is a must if you want to relax off the beaten tracks and enjoy nature in its brightest beauty. We loved the venue which is so comfortable and was like a family home to us. Tim is a fantastic host who will pay attention to every detail (the sherry decanter in our room was greatly appreciated) and will go the extra mile to meet your expectations. Guests will enjoy a delicious, home-made breakfast in a lovely room overlooking a well-kept garden with mountains in the background: here again the food and service are perfect. We would have dinner at Clementines, a lovely restaurant down the street and our headquarters for the whole duration of our stay at Clarens. If you don't have a car and want to travel around (especially trips to nearby Lesotho) don't fail to contact Maluti Tours and talk to Shane, an enthusiastic entrepreneur and great soul, who will offer you a thrilling experience of South Africa. Beautiful place with the most amazing gardens. The entire place exceeded our expectations. The level of detail and thoughtful spaces was so impressive. This is a place where the owners didn't skimp on anything. They have everything to make your stay super comfortable. The accommodation is on a livestock farm, so a little tip - take something for flies. There is doom in the rooms, but somehow the flies were persistent. The hosts and staff and their dogs were super hospitable.
