My stay at Fishbird Art Deco Villa was absolutely lovely. Percy and Xavier are fantastic hosts who truly looked after us—we always felt safe and cared for. Every morning, Percy prepared the most delicious breakfasts with special touches and great attention to detail. He is an excellent chef, and we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts on the terrace. As for the villa itself, it is exquisitely decorated, with beautiful wooden floors, stunning period light switches, and elegant lighting. It feels like a true piece of Johannesburg’s architectural history. The house has a warm, sunny atmosphere, beautiful vast views to the north, and a lovely big swimming pool. When I visit that side of town again, I would absolutely book Fishbird Villa without hesitation. Thank you, Xavier & Percy, for such a special experience!

Just overall an amazing experience. The breakfast and dinner was superb. Room service was excellent and very thorough. I was able to check-in much earlier in the early hours of the day, Chris received me personally and I felt he was always there – always up for a chat and to share his experiences and information about the area and the country in general. The house is just a beautiful oasis in a very beautiful and green suburb. If you just want to spend a quiet and peaceful time, that's the place to go. I would come back anytime. I would rate them 11/10 if I could.
