The breakfast was good and plentiful and would have had something for every taste. Staff were friendly and the rooms were cleaned spotlessly by the time we returned from Breakfast each day. Location wise the hotel is right next to the main walking areas in Obergurgl so access was very easy.

At the guest house, every unit comes with bed linen and towels. We arrived and our hostess found us outside and greeted us right away – she spoke fluent English. She immediately provided us with a map, gave us information about the surroundings that we were planing to go see, and showed us to a beautiful room. It was fully equipped with shampoo, towels, hairdryer... everything was lovely, and there was even a balcony with a view of the mountains. The bed was incredibly comfortable – after a long hike, it felt like pure luxury. In the morning, our hostess welcomed us downstairs with coffee + tea and eggs made as wanted. There was fresh bread, ham, cheese, butter, nutela, jam... nothing was missing. It’s rare to find this level of comfort in the mountains for such a reasonable price, and with such a wonderful hostess. Thank you very much for the stay it was amazing. Klára

At the guest house, all units come with bed linen and towels. Lovely room, lovely breakfast, stunning location and Christian the owner was brilliant. We used the Gasthof Schontal as a base for travelling to and from Kitzbuhel for a days skiing and the Hahnenkahm races. A half hour drive takes you to Kirchberg in Tyrol where there is free parking and a free shuttle train which takes you into Kitzbuhel itself. Perfect

The staff was super. The room was large with a very comfortable bed and great seating area. The shower area was modern. Everything was very clean. It is conveniently located in the center of town. Breakfast was good too.

At the apartment, the traditional restaurant is open for dinner, lunch and brunch and specialises in Austrian cuisine. Wow, what an amazing stay! It was so good I extended my stay twice! I received such a warm welcome from the owners it was really a great start. The room was a whole apartment and had everything I could need. In addition, it had a winter garden and a summer garden. Both were comfortable, beautiful and so fantastic for the mix of weather we had while I was there. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of options. I took my dog with me and upon entering the room there was a welcome bed and two dog bowls for my pet. It felt so good that he was as welcome as I was! I really had an amazing stay, and would recommend it to anyone going to this area. I plan to go back!
