The price was definitely fair given the experience and location. I want to thank Constantin and Andy with all my heart, who went above and beyond to help me with my issues and with the adjustments I requested in my booking. Two bonuses: the adorable dog Luigi (he never barks or makes noise) and a PS5 on the 3rd floor.

Location wise the hotel is right next to the main walking areas in Obergurgl so access was very easy.

We used the Gasthof Schontal as a base for travelling to and from Kitzbuhel for a days skiing and the Hahnenkahm races. A half hour drive takes you to Kirchberg in Tyrol where there is free parking and a free shuttle train which takes you into Kitzbuhel itself. Perfect

The staff was super. The room was large with a very comfortable bed and great seating area. The shower area was modern. Everything was very clean. It is conveniently located in the center of town. Breakfast was good too.

At the apartment, the traditional restaurant is open for dinner, lunch and brunch and specialises in Austrian cuisine. Wow, what an amazing stay! It was so good I extended my stay twice! I received such a warm welcome from the owners it was really a great start. The room was a whole apartment and had everything I could need. In addition, it had a winter garden and a summer garden. Both were comfortable, beautiful and so fantastic for the mix of weather we had while I was there. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of options. I took my dog with me and upon entering the room there was a welcome bed and two dog bowls for my pet. It felt so good that he was as welcome as I was! I really had an amazing stay, and would recommend it to anyone going to this area. I plan to go back!
