The shower amazing. Our evening meal was delicious as was our breakfast. The price for our room & meals was very reasonable. Staff were fabulous, nothing was too much trouble. It was in a lovely quiet location not far from the main town of Harrogate. We are planning on staying there again on our way back from Scotland.

The room was absolutely spotless, lovely roll top bath in a large bathroom, comfortable bed and room really well appointed. Lovely food in the bar also. Right in the centre of town.

Situated in the heart of York, The Bar Convent Guest House is only a 15-minute minute walk from the city centre and just over 300 metres from York Railway Station. The Grade I listed building offers an exhibition on the history of the site, a garden and free WiFi. Nice, clean and quiet room. Great beds, and we loved the full english breakfast. Friendly staff, and ideally situated just outside the city walls.

Features include a flat-screen TV, work desk, tea and coffee making facilities, and an en suite bathroom with free toiletries. I had two meals, dinner and breakfast. Both were very good. The room was comfortable and clean.

Absolutely splendid accomodation, truly classical in the best sense. One of the most pleasant and cosy hotels I have ever been at. Authentic good old times here.

Clementine's Guest House is just a 10-minute stroll from the historic city centre and picturesque Shambles shopping area. York Railway Station can be reached in a 20-minute walk. A quirky boutique hotel which we loved. Very well located and fabulously decorated rooms. Staff were very welcoming and helpful.

Afternoon tea is afternoon sea – a very fresh take on this timeless treat. And on Sundays, traditional roasts bring a beautiful close to the week Fantastic location, 10 minutes walking from York Minster and everything you need to see. Clean and spacious rooms, fantastic lounge and bar area. Complimentary pantry with crisps, juices, sweets and cakes in the morning. Staff is very welcoming and polite. Will definitely stay again!

Historical Whitby Abbey can be reached in 20 minutes’ walk and the popular Captain Cook Museum is just over a mile away. The town centre is a 10-minute walk away.
