The location next to the lake, the spacious and extremely clean room, the shower with more than sufficient hot water, the clean sheets and comfortable mattress which is firm enough without being too soft for those of us with lower back issues, and Mr. Dimmer who made us feel extremely welcome. He even provided a room for our driver since we arrived much later than expected due to the long line of vehicles waiting to get on the ferry from Parapat to Samosir. We really appreciated everything he did for us.

Although there isn't hot water for shower, the staff brought us buckets of hot water each day, and that was adequate to bathe my child. They also arranged the jungle trek for us, we were able to trek directly from the guest house. It's also located very close to the bat cave, 10-mins walk and we highly recommend visiting these caves, and with a local guide hired at the entrance. Without the guide we wouldn't have known where to go.

There is a private bathroom with shower in some units, along with bathrobes, slippers and free toiletries. At the guest house, each unit is fitted with bed linen and towels.

A bicycle rental service is available at the guest house. It is just great! The family makes you feel at home and nothing is too much to help you. I can really recommend staying here!

Alek and Nabil are really great hosts who are Bukit Lawang's second best feature after the orangutans! The balcony has a lovely view out over the river and the location is perfect in amongst the locals.

There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The rooms are fitted with a balcony with garden views and free WiFi. Best place for Orang Utan Trekking (we did 3 days / 2 nights). Staff and guide were great: very nice, knowledgeable, trustworthy and familiar - was a great experience that I can recommend to everyone! p.s. we were very lucky and were able to see 7 different orang utans
