The host of this property welcomed me warmly and was so helpful and kind throughout my very short stay. I only stayed one night, with an early flight out, and the host ordered a taxi for me the night before which reduced a lot of my stress. The location is right by the airport, which is why I chose it. To all those on a budget, keep in mind - taxis in Iceland seem to be much more expensive than other places, and it cost $30 for a 10 minute ride to and from the airport. Public transportation didn’t work for my timing. In terms of the property, it is extremely clean, modern, and a perfect stay for a short night as a solo traveler. The host allowed me to use her fridge to store food, and was very accommodating all around. The room was small but served its purpose. Would definitely recommend!

Dagmar owner really tell u everything which u need to know before arrival with every small detail. Breakfast are included with good kitchen. Whole place is like your second home. Got really nice living room with a lot of games couch. When we visited there they got some kind of agreement with local swimming pool with thermal water, sauna, hot tubs for free which was incredible benefit !

The guest house has family rooms. A very nice and cosy place, it's not very big but it's comfortable and the floor heating was keeping it nicely warm. We didn't meet with the hosts but the communication was fast and the check-in & check-out process was smooth. There was everything we needed for a comfortable stay, the address was easy to find, close to the airport and some nice tourist spots. We've chosen this location, as there was a higher possibility to observe the Northern Lights, even if the activity is low and surely enough, we managed to see them through the window. The Gardur Lighthouse is also within walking distance, which is also a good spot for Aurora, so it was quite convenient. Also, the beds were really soft and comfortable and we had a goodnight sleep.

It offers free WiFi and its own geothermal hot pool. A delicious home made breakfast that was healthy and tasty. Included a slice of rhubarb pie that is a family recipe from Andi’s mom back in Sweden. They offered slippers to wear around indoors, and sandals to wear outdoors. So much chilled water available in a small fridge. A very clean bathroom and shower with nice amenities. All of that was great, but having pleasant hosts was much needed, unexpected and a delight.

Great all round. there are 5 of us. and it's more then enough. they house is very well equipped. and shop 24 hour is less then 2 mins walk.
