Bitra Guesthouse is a 40-minute drive from Reykjavík. Thingvellir National Park and Geysir are 50 km away. Northern Lights spotting is possible during winter. We had a great stay at the guesthouse on top of the hill. The location is great next to the cross roads of Golden Circle and the road to south coast. The facilities were in really great shape and the rooms were comfy and clean.

Room was of a good size, everything was very clean. Comfortable beds, great shower. Room has outside door which leads onto a patio. Nice views outside of the mountains and also some horses nearby. Very big and clean shared kitchen area, that also includes a sitting area with couches. Great location, very near Gullfoss waterfall. We did not use the kitchen for dinner, only for breakfast, and it had everything we needed. We were the only guests which made for a lovely quiet stay.

Set 39 km from Geysir, Minniborgir Cabins features accommodation in Minni-Borg with access to a hot tub. This property offers access to a patio, free private parking and free WiFi. The guest house has private entrance. I’d recommend this stay for everyone but especially for groups or families since it is a whole house. The kitchen’s equipment was excellent and the bed was really comfortable. It was better than I thought it would be! Definitely will come back for this one!

The country house offers mountain views and a sun terrace. The place is stunning, we got the room with the terrace and you can see many of the glacier outlets. Very peacefully place. Self checking very easy. Room, bathroom and showers very clean and bed super comfortable. Really close to Höfn and Vestrahorn, really quiet place to get a good rest. Recommended for sure.
