It was warm and had a kitchen that was perfectly adequate to cook a meal. The bathroom was modern with a generously sized shower. There were two bathrobes as well as towels. It was quiet and with parking right outside. The house is up the hill from the harbour and it was a bit cold (snow everywhere) to walk to the hot pools on the shore so we took the car, but I would estimate a 10 min walk in summer.

The guest house features garden views and a sun terrace. The location was picturesque and check in was simple. Our room had its own private bathroom and it was clean with good water pressure. The heated towel rack was a bonus! The breakfast was outstanding and definitely worth the additional charge.

The Ring Road is a 30-minute drive away from Saudafell Guesthouse. The house itself is beautiful, very cozy and authentic, the common space is spacious. The breakfast was great. We would recommend staying here.
