Upon arrival, Kai instructed us extremely well into the house and the facility. The house itself is in mint shape and offers everything for a perfect stay. It’s a very authentic house that let’s one enjoy rural Japan. We couldn’t use the outside facilities due to the weather but could well imagine how cozy the front yard would be during the summer. We will definitely come back to this beautiful retreat. Thanks again for having us!

The guest house is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in. Our room was definitely idiosyncratic, with a great mixture of flea-market findings, real and almost antiques, big windows and lots of space. Public areas were also fun, continuing the comfortable, off-beat vibe. A little frayed at the edges, though very clean. Friendly staff.

Free luggage storage is available on the ground floor. Beautiful building with plenty of amenities. I found it to be a nice and calming start to my trip in Japan. The bar next door is also really nice with a brilliantly friendly owner. It was within walking distance of plenty of shops and places to eat and a short stroll to the local temple. Really great stay.
