Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). It has a beautiful Japanese garden and a large living room, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Our friendly mascot cat will welcome you! I thought this would be just a nice sleepover place and nothing more but it is so beautiful and has a very unique traditional feel that it made our stay on the island so much better. You even get free breakfast/dinner if you don't have time to eat outside and depart early in the morning/ don't manage to fetch a table in a reataurant in the evening because there is limited amount of restaurants that are open in late evening or early morning. The whole house is very authentic and the family that runs the place also offers a little souvenir shop with super cheap prices of local souvenirs, some even locally handmade. Thr staff is super nice and the xommom areas welcoming to spend the evenings in game/living room. Also had beautiful garden and amazing views from the rooms right on the sea

Also Setoda is a really small but beautiful port village, ideal for half a day or a short stay while you are doing the Shinamami Kaido cycling path.

I would rate it a 9/10 for value, location (it is midway thru the Shimanami Kaido and close to the bike path and the coast), cleanliness, and the awesome young owner couple who were very friendly, helpful and accommodating.

The area is popular for cycling, and bike hire is available at the guest house. stayed in a twin room and it was super comfy with a great view! All the amenities were spot on, and even the shared bathroom was really clean. Koji was super helpful too. The island is beautiful and really well set up for tourists had an awesome time!

This guest house will provide guests with 1 bedroom, a TV and air conditioning. The accommodation is non-smoking. Yorozuya-san and wife were our perfect host. His love for Conan was shown throughout the place. Sharing his collection was our main highlight. He help us to bring our luggage to Station near our train time. He drive us to school to see Conan and Ran goes to school statue, which is quite far if you walk. His house was located in front of Ran Statue. He also told us several secrets. I have been here in Conan town several times, and i could say, i usually skipped both statues due to their distances were far from other statues. So I really feel complete on this trip.

Spacious private clean room. Wonderful kind friendly host. Who made us a lovely breakfast. Was one of the hi lights of our two weeks in Japan.
