The location being close to the ski slopes was bonus with a very short drive. Also in walking distance to restaurants and an easy drive to the supermarket. The owners prepare an information book with restaurant recommendations which was very helpful. Owners were very responsive to our queries and recommendations to restaurants and nearby onsen. We enjoyed the onsen (15 mins drive) so much that we went twice! The property was also very clean and the items placed in the house were thoughtful, I could tell the owners take pride in the rental apartment, very well thought-out.

One night we had sauna and hot tub under the sky full of stars, this is one experience I will never forget. The house itself is clean and cozy, with a very beautifully decorated yard. The place is well organized, kept warm during the winter season and clean. Water and hot coffee is provided free at the hall area. Jimmy cares to check your schedule and offer to send and pick you up from the ski resort or town area if there is no other conflicting schedule. His wife is an exceptional cook and we highly recommend having breakfast and dinner at the Pension - it is affordable and full of warmth. The serving is better than many restaurants food. A must try if your trip schedule fits the timing. We had a great stay here and will come back again.
