The price–quality ratio is honestly one of the best I’ve ever experienced. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and on my last day, Kami even prepared some homemade onigiri for me to take for lunch, they were so tasty and such a thoughtful gesture. I truly felt cared for throughout my stay. This was the best place I stayed at in Japan, and when I return to Amami, I will definitely come back here.

That was such a huge relief and really helped us have a stress-free start to our days in Yakushima. Such proactive support before the arrival is rare these days. I can highly recommend the Blue Drop guesthouse; a tastefully furnished house, decorated with Yuki's beautiful glass art and paintings, super clean, and with everything you need. She also gave us lots of tips on what to do on the islands and how to get there. Last but not least, the fantastic food deserves a mention, including the fresh sashimi, caught that same day by Yuki's husband. At night, the starry sky lights up above the guesthouse, and you fall full and tired into the super comfortable bed, looking forward to delicious sandwiches and a pleasant chat with your hosts in the morning. Definitely one of the best accommodations on our many trips!
