There were so many thoughtful touches, like having spare pairs of crocs outside the cabin, having salt and cooking oil in the kitchen, having tea and coffee sachets. You can also park directly in front of your cabin which is very convenient. We reserved the course dinner offered by the host and it was delicious!! The host was also the chef (and the bartender) and we had a great time chatting to him in English and Japanese about the locally sourced ingredients and his very well-stocked bar. Thanks for such a lovely night Keita!! Next time we will need to stay even longer, so we can use the fireplace and enjoy more of the peaceful countryside. We had a wonderful stay, highly recommend El Campo.

It is set 42 km from Saitobaru Tomb and offers a shared kitchen. The owners were incredibly lovely, they welcomed us quite late but we still had time to order dinner, which was delicious. We had the singapore-style chicken and it was amazing. The hospitality made us feel like long-lost friends - it was really incredible. We had breakfast there in the morning and they even made the bread themselves, it was soft and fluffy but toasted to perfection. After that, we felt more than ready for a long day of exploring the coast. I would definitely recommend staying here. However, as indicated in the booking, showers are shared. It is also slightly noisy with a large road nearby and some train tracks. Bring earplugs :) 100% would stay here again.

On the other hand, I have to highlight the kindness of the owner, she was so helpful. Definitely I'd stay again there, it worths it.

Such a beautiful place to stay! Harry, the farmer, built it himself as well as the Japanese/American farm homestead. It is a beautiful place to relax in and children can run around the property safely so you feel like you can spend hours in this space and not have to be and about all the time. The wildlife is incredible here! On our walk around the property and down the track to the river we could spot so many frogs and crabs! The river is like it’s from a fairytale, with pebbles and fresh running water. Our kids caught shrimp, fish and crabs which they took back and made habitats for with containers from the mud kitchen. Oh I must mention the mud kitchen, which apart from being beautifully designed, kept the kids busy for hours. We could sit outside on the veranda, enjoy the nature and keep an eye on them. Ryoko cooked our breakfast and dinner for us which was absolutely beautiful food. The kids loved it too!! Highly recommend adding on breakfast and dinner!! Ryoko and Harry were both very accommodating and lovely, down to earth people (with great style and taste!). Harry gave us directions to the perfect small wave beach for our son to practice his surfing. There is an onsen very close by (10 minute walk), we went one a bit further away however and it was beautiful. This is a must stay in my opinion!

She offered breakfast and dinner, both very tasty and individually prepared. It was a kind of small boutique hotel experience. Good place to discover the national park around. Having a car is helpful to discover the surrounding.
