The private onsen across the street is incredible, I had it to myself every night, and there is an option for breakfast. The room was perfect for two of us, and Papa was so kind to drive us to and from the Myokokogen station and the mountains, and also on some errands which was so kind. It feels like you are stepping into a place that can’t be created, a piece of personality.

All units will provide guests with a wardrobe and a kettle. The owner Ai is one of the kindest, coolest humans I've met in Japan. As a solo traveller I couldn't have asked for a better place to base myself to enjoy the snow and Myoko. Baco Myoko has an unassuming facade hiding a relaxed, comfortable haven to kick back in after riding the surrounding mountains. Ai has great knowledge of the area when it comes to eating and good advice on mountains to ski for the current conditions. A great place to meet people if adventuring alone, private onsens, shuttles to the mountains and great breakfasts are all part of the package.I know how hard it is to sort through all the accomodation options in myoko, trust me and stay with Ai for your trip. Dave and Lisa are so easy to deal with and made us feel so welcome that we turned our 2 day trip into 7! Breakfast was a nice selection of yoghurt, toast, cereals and fruit plus something hot like bacon and eggs, soup etc. Very friendly hosts, clean rooms and a short walk to the shops and restaurants in town.

Really wonderful memories of Japow house, especially while winding down in the evenings with other guests, amidst the open and homely vibe. One thing to note for rental cars - make sure you get a 4wd, else when the snow picks up, you have to park at the post office carpark some ways out nearer the main town strip.

The accommodations were cozy, clean, and perfect for a ski trip. The common areas had a great vibe—ideal for relaxing after a long day on the slopes. But what really made this stay exceptional was the host—super helpful, incredibly knowledgeable about the area, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure everyone had a great experience. And then there’s the snow—Myoko delivered some of the best conditions I’ve ever skied in! Deep powder, endless terrain, and easy access to the slopes made every day an adventure. If you’re looking for an awesome place to stay in Myoko with a fantastic host and world-class snow, The Bunk House is the place to be. Can’t wait to come back!

Akakura Akarien, a property with a bar, is located in Myoko, 33 km from Zenkoji Temple, 35 km from Nagano Station, as well as 39 km from Suzaka City Zoo. This 2-star guest house offers full-day security and luggage storage space. The guest house provides a restaurant serving American cuisine, as well as free WiFi throughout the property. Great location! We were able to walk less the 5 minutes to wherever we needed to go. (Restaurants, bars, rental shops, ski resorts.) we were in Japan for about 3 weeks and stayed at multiple hotels and it was by far my favorite! On top of that they served the best breakfast!! Super unique dishes that were absolutely divine! The staff were out of this world helpful, generous, and kind! Super clean environment, beds were comfortable, and the shower pressure was exactly what you needed after a full day of snowboarding! Carlo!!!!! Which is the owner, he was extremely welcoming, very personable, helpful, communicative. Traveling to a new country to snowboard, he was kind enough to take us out exclusively and show us around the mountain so we were comfortable and felt safe. On top of that, we had some trouble with shipping our boardbag, Carlo was kind enough to go out of his way to the deliver the bag to the company himself. He really made our into trip memorable! The room was warm 100% of the time without the need for a kerosene heater as there was built-in central heating. The room was spacious with everything you needed. Room service was brilliant with pj's folded on the bed and fresh snacks on the table
