Ken is a fantastic host and will meet you in person to discuss your trip or the pilgrimage. I had the whole guesthouse for myself as there were no other pilgrims at that time. The ryokan room is a great experience, sleeping on futons is refreshing. The guesthouse has all amenities a traveler needs.

At the guest house, the units have bed linen and towels. Absolutely amazing stay, somewhat modern classic meets japanese style room. The building looks brand new. There is an amazing scent of fresh wood which is the house made of. Room looked traditional, tatami on the floor and futons in the corner of the room for sleeping. Very nice and cozy with breathtaking view from our room. The owners were being incredibly nice and even recommended some restaurants and arranged reservation for us. I can only recommend. We stayed only one night on our Shimanami kaido cycling route but it was a really pleasant experience.

The host is a very kind and nice person. He offered to pick up my luggage from the station and even took me to the only open store at the time to buy some groceries for dinner. The kayak experience was incredible I fully recommend it — he is a great coach! I highly recommend this place and will definitely stay here again if I have the opportunity. The house is not far from the station, and you can easily walk there if your luggage isn’t too big. The view from the house is amazing and very relaxing. It’s a comfortable, calm, and peaceful place.
