Their warmth and hospitality made us feel completely at home—it wasn’t just a place to sleep, it truly felt like staying with family. Their house told a story, filled with warmth, history, and the little personal touches that made it feel lived-in and loved. From the amazing homemade breakfast to the delicious ramen dinners they prepared, every meal was made with care and love. The guest house is conveniently located, just a short walk from a supermarket and a laundromat, which made things really easy for us. This personal, welcoming experience truly made our trip special. Situated in Matsushima in the Miyagi region with Entsuin Temple nearby, Uchi Matsushima Guesthouse features accommodation with free private parking. Sendai Toshogu is 21 km away and Rakuten Seimei Park Miyagi is 22 km from the guest house. Great hostel. The owner is realy nice and gives alot of tips on what to do and see in the area. The location is amazing. Walking distance from everthing you wanna see in town. It realy clean.

The guest house is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in. Fantastic location, right on Uwanodai slope - actual ski-in ski-out. Host was extremely friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurant was great and good value. Nice draught beer! Shower in room with a shared hot bath that could be booked for free. There's a ski/boot room in the basement that opens onto the slope. The decor is a bit dated but in a very charming way.

Set 24 km from Kamo Aquarium and 47 km from Shinjo Station, Shukubo Kanbayashi Katsukane is situated in Mount Haguro district of Tsuruoka. The hotel located right next to Zuishinmon so it’s very easy to hike Mt.Haguro from this location and also close to bus stop as well. The room is traditional Japanese room with futon and also air conditioner. The place has a shared bathroom and washroom. The food was very delicious. I had a very pleasant stay despite it was raining for two days straight. The lady who runs the hotel is also very helpful and kind towards a foreigner like me. Very recommended for people who would like to experience proper Japanese stays.

The staff at Pension Puutaro were incredibly friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Highly recommend for their exceptional hospitality!
