Once again well presented and clean - great help: assisting with bookings, scooter rental for only $7 a day directly from the Guesthouse. Laundry $1 per kilo, ready on your door the next day - great location: close to the main area but is a quite spot - amazing team looking after, run by a family. Very lovely and helpful Negative: Nothing to do with the Guesthouse itself. The bloody trumpet at 5am from the nearest military base it is incredible annoying. It goes on for 30 min. I feel bad as this can bother many guests and turn them away. But the place it is so lovely and deserves to be booked every day for the amazing effort they put. Thanks for having us 😀

At the guest house, the family-friendly restaurant is open for dinner, lunch and brunch and specialises in African cuisine. Everything, it’s a family run place, tucked away at the edge of the city. It’s an easy Tuk Tuk ride into town and was only around a dollar each way. They have their own scooters to hire for $6 a day if you want to go sightseeing. I spent a fair amount of time on the veranda just reading and relaxing. The bed was really comfortable and the bedding smelt amazing, this family are obviously committed to making your stay as enjoyable as possible

I can't express how great this place is... i enjoyed my stay a lot! Not only was the room super comfortable but Mr Leng and his wife are also amazing hosts!! Their hospitality is beyond great, they're so genuine, helpful, incredibly kind and literally have the warmest heart! It realllyy felt like home! Oh and there's a nice rooftop with a bar as well, Mr. Leng makes the best cocktails!!! You guys are going to LOVE IT! I can't recommend this place enough

Dickens , the owner, was most helpful and polite. I thoroughly enjoyed my brief stay at Ta Eng Guesthouse and wish I had stayed there before. The location is in a quiet part of town and around a ten minute walk to the Durian roundabout. I would like to thank him for all the drinks he gave me as part of the Chinese New Year festivities !

It is a really nice place to stay, one of the nicest places I have stayed at in 2 1/2 years of traveling. It is far off the main road so very peaceful and quiet with a beautiful green yard filled with trees and plants. The owner Eugene is welcoming and friendly and will make you laugh the whole time you are there. The rooms are modern and very comfortable with great AC and hot water. I had some of the best sleep of my long trip here.
