Guests can eat in the on-site family-friendly restaurant, which is open for dinner, lunch, brunch and high tea. The room was very clean, and the host's hospitality was incredible—super friendly and attentive. She arranged a tour for us for 18,000 LKR, offered us tea in the morning before we left, and kindly assisted and guided us to our next destination. Without a doubt, highly recommended! The bathroom was also clean, and the room was spotless.

The guesthouse is close by the lake and by foot 10 min to the main road to have some food. The safari as really nice as well, but there is no extra guide if you prefer so. The driver was the guide. We booked the tour through the guesthouse. The room was perfect for a quick stay and the family was really nice and helped with everything. We also just got a juice after our safari from the host.

Featuring a garden and views of garden, Mailagama Cinnamon Residence is a recently renovated guest house set in Kataragama, 21 km from Situlpawwa. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The guest house also offers free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. This was our second visit to Mailagama Cinnamon Residence and we were truly happy to see again the owners of the hotel, Indira and her husband. The hotel is located in a picturesque place among green rice fields. We loved walking around the area - there are large lakes nearby, and there are few people around, but an incredible number of peacocks. A real kingdom of peacocks. The room was clean and spacious, with a balcony with a great view. There was also a big shared terrace to work online or to do yoga. The fans helped to cope with the heat, which was important for us. We really liked the Srilankan food at the hotel - delicious and served with great elegance. Manager Inbaraj was always attentive and helped us with any questions. On his advice, we visited two temples - Rock Temple where you can see dozens of funny monkeys and Kataragama Maha Devalaya. Both places are interesting and atmospheric, especially the latter, which is famous for its festivals throughout the country. We hope to come back here next year to see the beauty of the nature and to feel the special friendly atmosphere.

Both a bicycle rental service and a car rental service are available at the guest house. Amazing place to stay and also amazing safari! We did the full day safari and it was a great experience! We saw so many amazing animals. We cannot recommend this place enough. The family is so kind and the service is excellent. The room is also very clean and comfortable with high quality Aircon.

If you are searching for a host that goes far and beyond to make your stay perfect and feeling comfortable, you really need to stay here! He picked me up at the bus station, went with me in the evening on a lagoon safari, his wife made the perfect dinner (you can choose from a diverse menu), arranged a perfect early morning safari (and even woke up to make coffee/tea and some snacks!) And afterwards brought me to the bus to Tangalle and even put me on the bus! Thank you so much for this experience Priya and family! ☺️

Kethaka Aga might have been the most beautiful hotel we have stayed in during our travels in Sri Lanka. Not only was the room very comfortable, the rest of the house and garden (including garden/pool area) offered some nice places to relax as well. The staff was really nice and catered to all our needs, from doing our laundry till preparing a breakfast package at 4:30 AM to bring to our safari. Highly recommended!

The owners made our whole stay as they were extremely dedicaded to make our stay confortable and relaxing. The common area and garden is beyond beautiful and gives you The perfect relaxation and calmness. The breakfast and food was delicious and we could also have Dinner and Lunch in case we wanted to stay in. Our Personal Highlight were The crocodiles in the pond in the garden where the owner woke us up to feed them. They really took care of everything and made us feel at home. We would definetly come back!
