The rooms are new, clean, cozy and they have AC. The bathrooms are large and sparly clean. The family that owns the place are very friendly and helpful. The food they prepare is delicious. The lobby offers a generous space to relax and work. You can even enjoy the sight of crocodiles swimming or sunbathing in the river from the terrace above. I can’t recommend this place enough! All units are equipped with a safety deposit box, while selected rooms are fitted with a balcony and others also offer quiet street views. At the guest house, all units include bed linen and towels. The air conditioning worked well plus a strong ceiling fan. The room was clean as well and the host provided an adapter in the room. He also welcomed us with two fresh coconut waters and on the morning of our safari at 5am he was kind enough to make us coffee. On our last day he gave us fresh watermelon slices before checking out. We were also picked up and dropped off from the bus station by the host. Very helpful and kind. Would recommend

Featuring a garden and views of garden, Mailagama Cinnamon Residence is a recently renovated guest house set in Kataragama, 21 km from Situlpawwa. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The guest house also offers free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. What a hidden gem! Beautiful surroundings. Really nice and comfortable rooms. The staff is really nice, they even had a baby cot and baby chair for our little girl. The food is one of the best! Best egg hoppers in Sri Lanka

Both a bicycle rental service and a car rental service are available at the guest house. My hosts couldn’t have made me feel any more welcome. They are kind and generous. As a single female traveller I felt very secure in their compound. I strongly advice you book your safari with your host. He’s a confident driver with a keen eye for leopards. Don’t think saving money will serve you well, take a private tour. The guest house is situated close to the park and near to the road the dissects the park. Take an evening safari on the road if you can. The accommodation is very clean. I found it hard to leave these lovely people.

The location is 45 mins away from yala national park, block 1. The host himself arranges safari so guests can book with him. He is very prompt for all the needs and he contacted us as soon as we booked the stay. Our food choices were very well taken care of. Lovely breakfast: pic attached. He let us check out a little late as we wanted to do the safari and provided us breakfast when we wanted. Room was very nice with clean linen and towels. Soaps were provided. Hot water was available. Ceiling fan present. Host keeps all necessary beverages in the fridge which can be bought from him.

It is small familliar hotel with large rooms. Swimming pool is big, and clean, and next to room. Very tasty breakfast. During the whole stay our hoste prepared the best tea witht milk for our children. Wery nice atmosphere.
