Aziz and the two Mohameds were so wonderful and attentive to us, we felt just like family and felt so well cared for during our first visit to Morocco. Our bed was huge and comfortable (we got the king room) and the design was impeccable, which is something that is super important to me. We looked at a lot of different properties in the Old Medica and Kasba areas and this one definitely seemed to be the most beautifully designed, all the furniture, decor and building materials were authentic and beautiful (zellige and tadelakt in the bathroom, hand painted Moroccon furniture, beautiful lighting and everthing goes with the "green" theme). The riad is perfectly located—right in the medina, yet tucked away on a quiet and beautiful street just off the main road. Upon arrival, the receptionist, Walid, kindly offered us a choice between two rooms. The rooms were spotless, clearly newly renovated, with a comfortable bed and plenty of space. The rooftop terrace was a lovely place to relax, and the breakfast was generous and delicious. Amal at the reception was incredibly helpful in finding us the best way to travel from Chefchaouen to Rabat (note: when we were there, only one bus per day ran at 7 AM, but an alternative is taking a grand taxi to Tangier and then the TGV, which took us just 3.5 hours). We would have happily stayed longer—this is a truly comfortable, laid-back place, perfect for enjoying a coffee on the terrace with stunning views of the city.
