Thirty minute drive from the airport and a five minute walk to the beach. Each of the three rooms has a different theme. Outside of our room were our own deck chairs and table. Each area was decorated and nicely lit. All rooms faced the pool and the beautiful sea. Travelling from the airport was very easy. The roads are good and well marked. Keep an eye peeled for the road to the villa. There is a sign but it is a narrow road and could be easy to miss! We felt very well taken care of during our stay. The breakfast, served al fresco, consisted of fresh local fruit, ham and prosciutto, fresh baguette and brioche, jams and homemade juice. Delicious! Would definitely stay there again!

Villa Manguier is a recently renovated guest house in Rivière-Salée, where guests can makes the most of its outdoor swimming pool, open-air bath and garden. With pool views, this accommodation provides a patio. The guest house features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. W liked almost everything from the first day to the last one. The area is very quiet, and the location is close to most interesting points of interest on the island. The bungalows are very clean and well equipped. The pool is a very nice place to stay at the end of the day to chill a little bit. Sébastien is a very nice host, always available and giving excellent advices about local points of interest. We had an excellent stay at La Villa Manguier and we will be back, for sure. Forget the negative advices about mosquitos, yes there are and you are also on a tropical island. The bungalows are equipped with enough stuff to avoid them. Forget also the negative advices about the access road. Yes the last meters ara a little bit bumpy, drive slowly and it will be fine. There are much worse roads on the island.

Set in La Trinité, 1.1 km from Plage de Raisiniers, Residence Les Palmiers offers accommodation with air conditioning and access to a garden. This beachfront property offers access to darts, free private parking and free WiFi. When staying at the guest house, guests can use private entrance. This little gem suited us perfectly. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. From the perfectly firm bed to the nice cotton sheets to the a/c that gives an excellent sleep our time spent here was ideal. Never once ran out of hot water. Fast internet, washing machine (utilized numerous times as we were on a working holiday). It's only a matter of a few minutes drive (or a 10 min walk) to the clean beach or grocery store either one. Daniel and his wife were the perfect hosts.

A recently renovated guest house located in Le Morne Rouge, KAN'DLO features a terrace. Among the facilities at this property are a shared kitchen and a shared lounge, along with free WiFi throughout the property. Spacious place, quite clean, has basic kitchenware, plates-cups and cutlery, tea-sugar etc. (though no salt or cooking oils). It was a very comfortable stay by myself. The owners of the place didn't visit me in 3 days, but sent a few texts with some basic info about the area. Mourne Rouge is a nice small town, and has basic necessary amenities to stay for a couple of days. Relatively good and reliable connections with St Pierre & le Lorraine, though 2 busses to Fort-de-France didn't come. The house is relatively close to Mt Pele hike starting point though adds extra 1-2 hours of walking. Overall, very happy with choosing that option.
