A lady at the mornings cares about breakfast - very clean, quick and nice. Lidia at reception also extremely nice, was making phone calls about my reserved trips etc. I got a towel for our trip just in case of swimming in volcanic pool, we could leave our luggage till collection of airport taxi. All staff was very nice. They cared about us. At the arrival bottle of wine and a cake! :-) Nice surprise. We highly reccommend this place. Location brilliant!!!

Casa Da Piedade’s rooms feature wood furniture, as well as a TV and telephone. Each private bathroom includes a walk-in shower. Received the most warmest welcome, so many small details (like a taste of wine and pastry served as welcome) that let you know how much they care about their guests. Breakfeast was freshly served and varied. Loved the style of the room and house, the garden and view is also beautiful and can only recommend a walk up to the chapel.

Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the guest house free of charge. The guest house has a sun terrace and a hot tub. It was a lovely room. The kitchen and coffee maker were nice to have. The grocery store was close by and Sao Vicente was also easily accessible from this location.

Set in Machico, S A L - Beach Apartments Caniçal is a recently renovated accommodation, 22 km from Santana's Traditional Houses and 30 km from Marina do Funchal. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 500 metres from Beach Pedradeira. The guest house features family rooms. Great place. New. Balcony in Room 5 was nice to sit and have a beer from the local supermarket (the coffee/pastry shop and small supermarket right past the church are great - staff speak either great English or pretty good English). We overlooked the water- nice. I posted a pic from the balcony. There was also a skylight over the bed if you like stars. Housekeeping was wonderful, and we asked Pedro (very very responsive) for extra towels on Saturday because they're off on Sunday. No problem. Fridge is nice, coffee/pods provided in room were also great, but it was nice to wander down to one of the shops after a day of hiking/sightseeing and sit and have a cup outside. Also- nice places to eat all around, O Recante was fabulous (oh, I'll remember that dessert for a long time) and we had a super nice inexpensive dinner at Muralha's Bar. I can't find any fault with the place other than what I'm sure will be a brief one as they're apparently enlarging the parking area (if they haven't finished already!).

Boasting a garden and views of garden, Profetas GuestHouse is a recently renovated guest house situated in Porto Santo, 1.1 km from Porto Santo Beach. The property has city and quiet street views, and is 4.1 km from Quinta das Palmeiras. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. We really enjoy our time at Profetas Guesthouse. They offer pick-up and drop-off for 5€/pers from and to the ferry terminal which is really nice and their communication was excellent ! The rooms were clean, spacious, really comfortable and the breakfast was so delicious and generous. They also offer to rent some quads with them for a very affordable price which we did and it was a great way to discover the island. And the host were just amazing. They were nice, thoughtful, always giving us recommendations on what to visit, where to go and to eat. They went above and beyond to make our stay at their place a fantastic experience. I truly recommend this place.

Girao Cape is 12 km away and Santana's Traditional Houses is 43 km from the guest house. Fabulous little home in the hills, off the beaten track. The terrace has lovely views in the evening and it’s everything you need for a private, comfy stay. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating. We stayed for two nights and it was a great base from which to explore Madeira’s central hikes.

The apartment is gorgeous and spotless clean. The host is very available, responsive, friendly and welcoming. Check in is completely seamless. The property has a beautiful, sizable garden with a great view of the town and ocean. My partner and I absolutely loved our stay in this property because of all the attention to detail that the host put towards the furnishing and decoration of the apartment, which is a rarity. Some places are furnished expensively but in an impersonal and cold style, but this one is truly someone's home, with great character, that the host is sharing with you.
