Had a really thoughtful conversation with the owner about the history of the area, who was able to share perspectives of Slovenians who stayed in the region after WWII. (My family emigrated from a neighboring town to the US after the war) After visiting this gorgeous place, it was easy to see why my grandfather missed his homeland so much.

I loved it … everything I needed by way of a shower, comfortable bed, and easy walk to the town. The host was super helpful and quite a character :)

A perfect summer getaway!
