At the guest house, each unit has bed linen and towels. Very clean and comfortable room (the shared bathrooms were also very clean). Terrace with a view. The hosts are really nice and provide breakfast each morning. We appreciated being able to use the kitchen and refrigerator. Parking right in front of the house. Peaceful location...any easy walk to the small town center for restaurants/cafes/shops. WIFI worked well.

Situated in Tūjān in the Gabes region, Dar Fatma Toujane features accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a hot tub. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. I could not recommend it enough, the best accommodation in Tunisia. We received a very warm welcome from the owners. They served us traditional food, which we ate on the terrace with great views over the canyon and mountains. Squeaky clean room, beautifully furnished and spacious. The region is very peaceful and clean, Toujane is a great choice for a "base" to make daytrips from, see the ksars, Sahara desert and even Tozeur (whole day of driving there and back but it's worth it).

Guests at the guest house will be able to enjoy activities in and around Tamezret, like walking tours. Dar Ayed Tamezret has a picnic area and a barbecue. This is a gem of a hotel and you’re lucky if you get to stay here. We had 2 nights in 2 different rooms and they were both amazing, decorated tastefully in local Amazigh style. The grounds are expansive and there’s lots to explore: animals, plants, a great pool, swings & trampoline… my kids loved it, too! The staff is beyond friendly, it feels like one big family. The area has a lot to offer, it really is a unique place, and Dar Ayed is the perfect place to explore it from. I’d be glad if I got to stay here again. Hotels like this make me happy that there’s still a lot of personal touch and not just business motif in this field. Thank you!

Located in Tamezret in the Gabes region, Auberge de Tamezret features a patio. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the guest house free of charge. The traditional restaurant serves American and Belgian dishes, as well as French and Mediterranean cuisine. This is by far one of the most special places we’ve been to. I read a review where one said it was worth the 500 km detour from Tunis, I’ll give you a better one: it’s worth a 4000 km detour from Amsterdam! The setting, the views, the amazing rooms, the village itself, the location, the hospitality and company and above all, the delicious dinner and breakfast. It was perfect from start to finish.
