Mike was an exceptional host always asking if everything was ok(in a good way) also answered most of our questions we asked for the area .The location was awesome lots of bird life ostriches,flamingoes to even otters visiting the garden in early hours of morning .also perfect fishing hot spot.Nice and peaceful for some quietness away from the city life .we even took a walk from river tides accomodation along the river towards port owen for sunset photos .will definitely recommend!

The stylishly decorated lounge has a cozy fireplace an opens up onto a spacious verandah with magnificent views. This is one of my favourite places to stay in the entire South Africa. The boutique hotel is seamless, service warm and professional, room spacious and elegant. What makes it special, though, is its position straight on the beach, offering breathtaking views, specially at sunset.
