The setting is spectacular, with mountains and sea, and the beach is protected from major waves. There are a number of excellent restaurants within walking distance. The town is safe and the property secure. There is a beautiful drive along the coast towards Betty's Bay, which I highly recommend. There is a colony of African penguins there. Big Skies has a small pool, which we used in the heat of the afternoon. The breakfasts were very good, and there was a decent amount of variety. I enjoy the personal attention of guesthouses and small hotels, and Kobus and Irene were excellent hosts. Conversation at breakfast and the bar with them and other guests was enjoyable. Parking is inside the property gates and is secure.

The units at the accommodation are fitted with a seating area. We stayed in this great accommodation for two nights and more than enjoyed it! The location is in the middle of a villa neighborhood with breathtaking views of the sea. The staff is super friendly, everything is clean and the breakfast was lovingly prepared and very tasty. There are some very good restaurants nearby. We have nothing to complain about and would love to come back. 10/10

Vredenburg has elegantly decorated rooms with under floor heating and cotton linen. Each of the air-conditioned rooms provides a satellite TV, an iPod docking station, and an electric kettle. Turning of from the mainroad the entrance is already beautiful then once you enter via a gate the property, the garden is so nice and well maintained. Then you see the building, simply gorgeous, inside and out. The staff very friendly welcome. The pool area, breakfast, the 2 managers, Luke and Leon interacting with the guests it all made us feel special!
