The place was very peaceful and quiet. The facilities were great and we really enjoyed our stay.

OK, so this was certainly the most expensive accommodation of our trip but wow! The Kurunduketiya Private Rainforest Luxury Resort is a place like no other: embedded in the rainforest and a tough trek away from the nearest paved road the building is simply extraordinary. Raised on stilts with two huge bedrooms at either side enclosed on three sides by glass walls with an 'open air' living area in the middle this has got to be one of the most unusual holiday locations ever. Our group of four was looked after by the two wonderful managers who not only cooked and served the most delicious food morning and evening but heaved our heavy baggage from car to villa over challenging terrain, gave us insights into the amazing environment and its wild residents and even took us on a rain forest hike. The aquarium-like bedrooms (only you are inside looking out) are amazing. Uninterrupted views of the forest on three sides with the best shower ever - no curtains, no shutters just another huge window looking out on to forest and a tumbling stream! Below the building is a natural 'swimming pool' fed by spring water.

New big apartment with a lot of space inside and outside as well. Very clean and well designed with all the needed amenities. The kitchen is well equipped. The price is very fair. Kind and helpful host. Our stay was very comfortable and relaxing

Kia Ora, I had the pleasure of staying at Sithuka Villa in Bentota, Sri Lanka, during my recent trip from New Zealand, and it truly exceeded all expectations. The fact that the beach is so close made it incredibly easy to pop out and enjoy the beauty of the coast whenever I wanted. However, what truly made my stay special was the hospitality. The host and their family were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making my stay comfortable. They went out of their way to ensure that I had everything I needed, offering insightful recommendations for local attractions, arranging transport, and even preparing delicious traditional meals that felt like home-cooked delights. They treated me not just as a guest, but like part of their family, which made all the difference in my experience. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful retreat to relax and unwind or a base to explore the beauty of Bentota, Sithuka Villa is the perfect choice. I will definitely be returning in the future. It's a wonderful place for a small group of family and friends to spend time. The staff, Ruwan and Cyril are so helpful and go out of their way to make your stay wonderful. Ruwan took us to town on his tuk whenever we needed it and also helped us with picking good restaurants and a boat ride. The kids loved the pool! We really enjoyed our stay and appreciate the effort the guys put into making our stay as comfortable as possible.

The villa is beautiful and very tastefully done. The location is excellent so is the food snd all the staff. As its a small villa with only 4 bedrooms it gave us a lot of privacy and a serene quietness which was just what we needed. Away from the usual 5 star resort crowds.

Very quiet place for nature lovers, near to the city, very helpful and lovely owner, got tea and a very delicious coconut free of charge, nice atmosphere with good music :)

Beautiful river facing Villa with clean rooms! The host helped us arrange for a river safari which was a great experience! The pool was clean and great for use all day!
