We hope that when we go to Iceland in the future, we can stay here again. The house was so inviting and comfortable. The beds were incredible! We loved walking around Stykkishólmur; the walk up to the beacon was great and the view breathtaking. We even saw the Northern Lights while there. The host was extremely attentive and responded quickly to any questions we asked. What a find, this house in Stykkishólmur!

Property was on the way to Snaefellsjokull National Park fairly well situated for a first night stop after morning arrival in Reykjavik. No restaurants in immediate area, so either dine as you drive through Borgarnes or some place closer to the park. Beautiful views.

Three bedrooms, which was really nice after staying in some VERY small cramped hotel rooms. Was towards the end of the trip, so it allowed us to decompress after driving around the entire country. Important to note: Hit a very convenient grocery store early in the day. We tried to go after dinner, and it closed at 6 pm. Would absolutely recommend this place if you're going to the West Fjords (Grundarfjorour area). Also, it's not a bad drive for timing to see sites in this pensula from this location.
