The location is unbeatable—tucked in a peaceful and quiet neighborhood, yet just steps away from the old castle, the local market, and directly across from the historic house of the famous writer Ismail Kadare. Walking through the charming streets felt like stepping into a storybook. The villa itself is stunning—comfortable, beautifully decorated, and full of character. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully designed with both modern comfort and traditional charm. We especially loved the balcony, where we enjoyed morning coffee with a view and quiet evenings under the stars. One of the highlights was the amazing breakfast—fresh, delicious, and made with local ingredients. It was the perfect start to every day and truly added to the experience. But what really made this stay unforgettable were the fantastic hosts. Warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful, they went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Their hospitality made us feel not just like guests, but like part of the family. This villa is perfect for anyone looking to relax, explore, and experience the authentic heart of the town. AN AMAZING PLACE!!! A great view over the whole oldtown and castle. Private table overlooking it all while having a beer in the evening or for breakfast in the morning. The hosts are super welcoming and they came to pick us up after we got a bit lost on our way with our car. The appartment is super clean and comfy! Easy walk to the castle and old town, and the walk up isn't too bad at all. Not too steep. Would have liked to spend a few more night here for sure

The owners were amazing, and kind hearted people, they cared for us a lot. The language barrier wasn't an issue thanks to google translate, and their daughter, who also helped a lot with recommendations for the sightseeing. The panorama from the terrace was beautiful, and the breakfast was super delicious. We had a wonderful time, and I also fell in love with the city. I hope I can come back in the future :))

We had a great time at Clockwise in Gjirokastër. Joanna was the friendliest host we had on our whole three week trip to Albania. She was there whenever we had a question, asked us what we wanted for breakfast (which was varied and copious) and gave us great tips where to visit. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. You can even log on to your own Netflix account via the TV (if you remember your login credentials from home). The location is perfect. Right in the center, so everything is in walking distance. Joanna supplied perfect directions to her place as the road that leads to it was new and not yet on Google Maps. Big recommendation, we would come again any day.
