The location is unbeatable—tucked in a peaceful and quiet neighborhood, yet just steps away from the old castle, the local market, and directly across from the historic house of the famous writer Ismail Kadare. Walking through the charming streets felt like stepping into a storybook. The villa itself is stunning—comfortable, beautifully decorated, and full of character. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully designed with both modern comfort and traditional charm. We especially loved the balcony, where we enjoyed morning coffee with a view and quiet evenings under the stars. One of the highlights was the amazing breakfast—fresh, delicious, and made with local ingredients. It was the perfect start to every day and truly added to the experience. But what really made this stay unforgettable were the fantastic hosts. Warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful, they went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Their hospitality made us feel not just like guests, but like part of the family. This villa is perfect for anyone looking to relax, explore, and experience the authentic heart of the town. I can’t wait to return someday. Highly, highly recommended!

We were warmly greeted by the family and little grand daughters who raced outside to open the gate and show us where to park. Our completely renovated room with a gorgeous rooftop terrace in the Old Town of Gjirokastër, and looking upwards towards the Castle walls was perfectly located. The host has tastefully decorated the room to a completely modern standard. It was spotlessly clean, bright and welcoming. We enjoyed some amazing breakfasts while in Albania, particularly in the North, but OMG Manga's doughnuts with poached strawberries were next level, as was the rest of breakfast

Our stay was fabulous.The hosts were very kind and helpful.We had delicious breakfast served on balcony with a stunning view of the mountains.Home made cheese,bread,round puffy pancakes,honey,fresh milk , Turkish coffee.The hosts make their own wine so you can taste it as well. We can not thank enough our hosts for the fantastic stay. If you want feel like home atmosphere and organic food Bujtina ANLU is the place for you . 🥰

Everything was fantastic, this is a brand new place on the outskirts of the old town at a great price. it is very beautifully decorated, just perfect. Our hosts were amazing, so helpful. We discovered that the website with bus information was incorrect and they went out of their way to help us. Her husband drove us to bus on his way to work and checked times in bus office for us and her son who works in Sarande found the information for connecting bus to Hirana from Sarande. All Albanian people we met were so lovely and helpful but this family went over and above to help us.

We had a fantastic stay. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the room a good size with a new and modern en-suite. The owners were really sweet, friendly and accommodating and made us feel at home. The garden was great and so peaceful, a wonderful place to relax. We had breakfast one day and it was yummy. Another positive were the various sockets in the bedroom to charge stuff. Thank you!

    We liked everything! This accommodation is an oasis close to all things important in Gjirokaster. It is a clean, comfortable, modern and well equipped apartment. Great outdoor space with a refreshing pool (a rare thing in Gjirokaster). Really nice breakfast. Lovely hosts. This is where you should stay when visiting beautiful and interesting Gjirokaster.

    Great location and lovely host family. Served Raki on arrival, nice size room, had shutters to completely block out the light which allowed me to have an afternoon nap. Family was so kind, they took us the bus stop, they knew more about the bus schedules than the local information centre, bought breakfast for us to take with us. Great location, beautiful view from the shared terrace, close to the action of the main old town & castle, but also quiet. I highly recommend and would stay again.
