MalaysiaWe absolutely loved Beaumaris Beach Guest House and couldn't have hoped for more during our stay over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Judy and Stuart are wonderful hosts; welcoming, knowledgeable and creative in both their decor and food preperation. They go above and beyond to make sure their guests have a memorable stay with freshly ground coffee in the rooms, little chocolates, Judy's home-baked biscuits, complimentary port and ginger wine, as well as a complimentary cheese board and glass of wine (delicious) during your stay.
Judy is an incredible cook with genius recipes at the ready. Breakfast is an array of flavours, packed with treasures such as homemade breads, homemade spreads (orange marmalade and lemon curd are winners), freshly baked muffins, local milk, homemade Greek yogurt and granola... I could go on. If you have the opportunity to order dinner at the guest house, I would highly recommend doing so. We had the lamb chops and the pork chop. Both were perfectly cooked and came with a huge bowl of vegetables from the local market and their own garden! After chips, parmi and burgers this was such a treat and each individual vegetable was again packed with flavour.
Clearly we enjoy our food but Judy and Stuart's attention to detail allows you to feel perfectly at home here. Judy's colourful paintings and drawings hang from the walls, seating areas are well thought-out, the veranda allows you to enjoy the sounds of the ocean whilst spotting wombats and wallabies in the garden. The rooms are decked out with every comfort and amenity you could hope for, strong WiFi runs throughout the property and boardgames are available for your enjoyment.
Stuart took the time to tell us about the surrounding area and gave us some fabulous recommendations for secret spots at Bay of Fires and elsewhere in Tassie.
