Came to Lijiang with work anxiety, but found inner peace on Xilu Saturday! The comfortable queen bed of this inn made me sleep the heaviest sleep in three years. When I left, the battery of my phone was still 70%, but my soul was charged to 200%!

The big tree is in the heart of the ancient city. The staff there were super friendly. They helped us organise transportation from the railway, brought our luggage directly to the Inn and prepared breakfast for us before we went on an early morning hike to tiger gorge. They also gave us tips for travelling around Lijiang old town. I highly recommend Big tree to anyone will come to Lijiang.

I am very particular in choosing a place to stay for our travel. One of the owners, Arlin has been very active in communicating with me through email and wechat, answering all of my queries and requests. So that little act of service helped to convince me to book them. They offered a free pick up service from train station and they also has a porter service to help you carry your luggage all the way to your room. Upon arrival, i was super stoke because the hotel is exactly how they advertised in the website. They offered a bit more contemporary design while staying true to the traditional theme. We were greeted warmly with tea and i guess only the owner can converse in english but the workers arent. But despite the lack of english, we made do with translation app. Our room is spacious and clean with no speck of dust, our balcony is facing the old town street and literally you can just go out from the hotel and immediately shop. The hotel also very modern in a sense that they have a control button for their curtain anddd i cannot stress this enough, they HAVE AUTOMATED TOILET WITH THE FREAKING HOLY BIDET AND DYSON HAIRDRYER. Being a Malaysian, having a bidet is a must so to my fellow Malaysian traveller, im vouching for this hotel. Their toilet paper is 4 ply. They also have washer + dryer machine located at the ground floor, free to use, so another plus point there. I washed my clothes everynight, and then hang out with the owner while waiting for my laundry. They offered free breakfast, but seeing we are muslim, he switched the local breakfast with pastries instead. They always prepared free candies, local fruits and tea at the receptionist which i always took whenever i went out. The location of the hotel is also very convenient, it is very near to the main road, the iconic water wheel and dashi bridge. The attentiveness and care they provided for their guests, answering every questions no matter how silly they sounded, has really won it for me. Will come again!

Location: the celebrity is close to the south gate, so it's convenient to go out and play. Room: the hardware is good, the combination of modern and old buildings is not the same inn wind, the dry and wet separation of the toilet is also very good, although the area of the big bed room is small, but the room is very comfortable, the warm light in the room makes people feel very warm after playing for half a day, and the heart is warm (boss is also good, grateful), very suitable for solo trip.

We enjoyed our stay at Lijiang. The hotel is at good location because it’s close to the main road and walkable to the ancient city. The staff is friendly and supportive. He replied me very quick. The room is the same as the pictures on the internet, the decoration style is enamored. All kinds of facilities are very beautifully decorated, health and supplies did not say, clean! People stay very assured. Although the B & B is located in the bustling part of the Ancient City, but also really do the noise in the quiet, sound insulation effect is very good, air conditioning cool and pleasant, I can sleep soundly all night. I will definitely choose this B & B again on my next visit. The boss is a warm and cheerful and love life of the big boy (super handsome! !! Super handsome! !! Super handsome! ! !), Because we came early, the boss took the trouble to help us make tea and coffee, afraid we were hungry. First, let me talk about the service—it was excellent. The owner came out early to greet us at the entrance and even helped with our luggage. They also gave us great tips to avoid tourist traps. Knowing our group was large, they proactively upgraded our room. As for the amenities, the room had a bathtub—something many places don’t offer—along with a huge, very modern bathroom. The drinking water system was advanced, and both the air conditioning and hot water worked perfectly. Even the mirror had built-in lighting! The stay was incredibly comfortable. The location was also ideal—right in the ancient town. For those who enjoy exploring local markets, it’s super close to Zhongyi Market, making it convenient for early morning outings. Lastly, the price was unbeatable! (Oh, I almost forgot to mention the courtyard—it had such a charming vibe, exactly my style. Sadly, we only stayed one night.) I’ll definitely choose this place again next time I visit.
