This place is very special, situated in the lovely elevated village of Fanjeaux, it is a superbly designed suite of rooms with a stunning view for miles across the countryside as far as the Black Mountains. With its own private entrance, the first room in the suite is a spacious conservatory with cosy seats, beautiful plants, decor with books and even painting and sketching materials thoughtfully provided for guests. From here a door leads into very attractive mini-kitchen/dining room that looks out across the stunning view, with coffee-machine, fridge, microwave and little butler sink complete with a dresser filled with beautiful pottery and glassware. The next room with the same breathtaking view is the super comfortable bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The hosts have put so much care into making people welcome here and are very kind and responsive while giving guests perfect privacy in a peaceful space.

What a wonderful treat, staying at a genuine apple farm during harvest season! Audrey was an exceptional host and could communicate well in Enhlish. She served a delicious dinner of farm produce, ending with the best apple crumble ever. The room was very spacious, a combination of a modern bathroom and classic bedroom with period furniture from previous generations. We really enjoyed the tranquility. One could comfortably stay a week! On leaving, the farmer gave us some apples - the best tasting ones I have ever had.

Our large room was in a beautiful fully renovated chateau with every amenity we could want. The hosts Paschale and Jean-Jacques were delightful, warm, welcoming, and with good advice on where to go in the area. Breakfast was generous with lots of choices, in a beautiful dining room. Lavandalet was a good spot to base ourselves to explore the beautiful area, even though there were not many shops or restaurants open. This would have been partly because it was Public Holidays during our visit. Our hosts were very helpful in booking us a restaurant in a nearby town and we also enjoyed lovely lunches in the countryside as we travelled in the area. We would highly recommend this lovely property for a very enjoyable and comfortable stay.

Eliane was lovely, very accommodating in the fact I don't speak a word of french , and put the rugby on for me to watch, breakfast with her homemade jams and preserves was excellent.

It was a pleasant stay and a big thank you to Samuel and his dad for there warm welcome.The property is located in the beautiful area,a lot of trees and birds around! Clean rooms and well equipped kitchen.The breakfast was delicious with fresh bakery and fruits! We had a good rest and we hope to come back next time!
