It was an amazing experience. We never knew what it would be like to stay in the old Abbey but the combination of the old (history, beautiful architecture, stunning views of the lake and the surrounding landscapes) and the new (neat, modern facilities, access to the pool and sauna) was exceptional. We loved how big our apartment was. Our daughter had her own room and bathroom and we all had a separate living room with majestic high ceilings and a big kitchen. We also got a lovely hamper as a welcome gift, which was very handy when didn’t feel like braving the cold to go out to buy a snack.

Superb place to stay. Amazing facilities, lots of activities for children. Balls, tennis rackets, cricket set and board games all provided. Beds were comfortable. Cottage was immaculate. Highly recommended. However be sure to book the swimming pool early as the slots fill up quickly.

Nothing but words of praise. The lodge is extremely beautiful, cosy and well kept and is in a picturesque location. The room was very comfortable, clean and just like pictured with a beautiful view of the lake. All the staff were polite and friendly and very attentive and the food of the restaurant was super delicious! Definitely a very memorable stay and would recommend to anyone looking for a getaway weekend to visit this beautiful lodge.

Amazing unique place to stay, extremely well renovated while still keeping so much of the original Abbey. It's a must. The apartment was absolutely huge!! Pictures don't do it justice. Stayed in The classrooms.
