Highly recommend! The place is located in a village that feels a bit like in the middle of nowhere, you are in the countryside, and there is a big yard in which to just sit and relax. Very close behind the property, there are big beautiful fields which you can take a walk in. When the host found out that one of us staying there had a birthday that day he arranged homemade traditional food to be made for us and we all had a celebration together and connected. As it is a bit higher above sea level it is cooler there in the summer than in other near parts near like Tbilisi or Kakheti, which is a positive. But for us even staying in the warmth of May it was a bit cool in the room during the night, as the door of the room opens up straight to outside, which for some might be something to consider.

We stayed here for 3 nights very comfortably, with beautiful views and adequate facilities. There is a restaurant/cafe just next door, and a shop within a few minutes walk. I would recommend it to anybody staying in Ananuri.

Same day booking and we were welcomed well. Especially the rooms with shared bathrooms in the new house part have beautiful views. It’s definitely worth having dinner, we were spoiled with more we could eat and drink and the owner was very hospitable. Whenever we got stuck in English or German, his daughter would be available to translate.

Loved everything! The guest house itself, the delicious authentic local food, the gorgeous view of the mountains and the river Ilto below! You can't find a better place; it's convenient and close to Akhmeta. And, of course, Iza and her staff were friendly and hospitable! And sitting in the evening by the fireplace and drinking cold Kakhetian wine from clay bowls while having a snack churchkhela is priceless!
