It was not very busy or loud, close to the port, and within minutes by car from Kerkyra. The facilities were very clean and comfortable, felt like at home.

This is a great room for anyone doing the Corfu trail. The room is more like an apartment, fully accessorised with sofas, living room table, kitchen and a television. The location is great, above a supermarket, a bakery and a bar. Amazing view at sunrise, would definitely recommend!

David and Marieke are lovely hosts and they did a great job with the place. It feels like you went back in time, away from this modern world, loud and crowded. Peacefull place indoors and outdoors. The road up there is a little bumpy and quite long, but the destination is well worth it. We arrived late in the evening and after getting worried that we missed the road or we'd end in some abandoned place, we were surprised to find a welcoming cozy place like The Merchants' House. Entering the room was a total exciment for my 12 years old son to discover every corner if it and who bragged about being the one to say Yes to this accomodation, even if, on the map, it seemed far away from the beaches. Next morning, we were amazed with the "royal breakfast" and "royal service".🥰 We switched 3 accommodations during our 8 days vacation in Corfu, but The Merchants' was the best, the cleanest, the friendliest.🥰 Thank you, Marieke and David for making our stay sooooo so relaxing and exquisite.👑🎩

The owner was very sweet and she helped with everything, she even planned us the whole trip, everything was amazing, she made us coffee and cookies in the morning, the rooms were super clean and comfortable!! best stay ever!!! also there is an elevator too! we are 100% coming back again… best stay ever!

Location was excellent, very close to the main street so near the beach as well, yet quiet. The balcony in our room offered both mountain and sea views. The landlady and her mother were incredible (so warm, nice, welcoming - just everything) and because of them, I gave the 10 stars.
