Warm welcome from Johan and his nephew, the room was clean and already fresh with the AC. The place felt like home and we could also use the kitchen. The breakfast was very good with plenty of food and fruits. The location is perfect, in a calm neighborhood, close to the city center. We also plan the visit to Ijen with Johan and everything went smoothly ! Thanks for everything, it was a pleasure to meet you :)

Our stay was one of the highlights of our 2-months Indonesia trip. Java Turtle Lodge is an exceptionally beautiful place to stay at where they look after you and want you to have the best experience. Our villa was clean & comfy, showers were hot, food was delicious and the garden is actually my dream garden with a fish pond and hammocks. We had an amazing time on our Sukamade turtle trip. In all honesty, this was the most expensive trip we paid for on our trip, but it was so worth it. First we visited Green Bay for a little hike & swim, then we had a fun 2 hours jeep ride, deep in nature, to Sukamade beach. Later, we went to the beach to spot turtles who might come to lay their eggs. We were not lucky to see one in action, but we followed her way back into the ocean. We spent the night at the national park rangers’ post, which was a minimal room but had everything we needed. And the best thing… we released baby turtles in the morning. Everyone included in this trip was genuine and treated animals fairly. A much recommended stay and trip!

We are a couple of Brazilian travelers, we have been traveling for 3 months through Southeast Asia, and for sure this was one of the best places we stayed. The homestay is in a very quiet place, close to the train station, there is a market in front and there are several restaurants nearby. The suite is very comfortable and very clean, there is hot water in the shower, the internet and air conditioning worked very well. Juda helped us with absolutely everything, helped us get cheaper prices for the Ijen volcano tour, gave us lots of tips for places to visit nearby and always made us a wonderful breakfast and we always had coffee and tea. Juda was the best host we've had so far, very kind, woke up at 4am to make us breakfast and help us carry our bags to the train station. He never hesitated to help, he was always there. Very friendly. Our stay was excellent. Thanks to the best host.

We stayed here for one night to visit the Ijen volcano early in the morning. Everything was perfect: just amazing hosts , clean and nice decorated room, delicious breakfast, beautiful area. Our only regret is that we didn’t have enough time to spend there. Thank you very much.

If you want to experience rural Indonesian life, here's the place! Wonderful homestay with a friendly older couple. They don't speak English, but we had really interesting conversations with Google translate. Purwadi showed me around the town, we visited his relatives and went to a big local festival together (Kebo-Keboan). Had a lot of fun! The room in the upper floor is spacious and clean, there's a "veranda" with a table and a private bathroom. Prolonged my stay twice as I liked it so much.

    Juda Homestay is such a beautiful place! The rooms are simple, but clean and the bed is cozy. The AC was working perfectly! The terrace is enchanting with all the plants. Juda was a great host and organised our tour to mount Ijen. Staying outside the city center had the advantage that we had the most beautiful walk to the train station through some rice fields.

    Beautiful homestay located in a small village of locals surrounded by jungle and close to kawah ijen. The family that runs the homestay is incredibly sweet and make sure you have a nice stay. The nasi goreng and mie goreng is soo good. The owner was really nice and organized our tour to ijen and to the hospital to get the health certificate. Would definitely recommend staying here.

    Great place, great breakfast but most of all an amazing host family, who not only take care of you at the homestay (it really feels like home) but they also show you around, as you would do with family! Amazing hospitality.

    Excellent home stay experience! Hosts are incredibly kind and helpful (like arranging a ride with their friends to get us to Malang the next day!), breakfast and other foods at homestay are delicious, rooms are cozy and comfortable and location works well. We booked Ijen crater through the hotel which was a great experience.

    It was great staying at Juda Homestay, everything was a breeze and Juda was amazing. I felt right at home staying here and Juda was accomadating to all my needs, even taking me out to get dinner when I arrived and did not yet have a scooter of my own. 10/10!
