The host, Indrawati, was very friendly and helpful. She organised for me a group tour of Injen and helped me arrange for ongoing transport. The homestay is in a good location and was clean. Coffee tea and bananas were always available.

We had a great stay at Ndalem Mataram! The cabins were big and clean, comfortable beds, the garden was beautiful with a relaxed atmosphere and the staff was absolutely fantastic. There are some great restaurants in the neighborhood as well and it's a short walk into the more busy areas. Definitely the place to go if you are going to Banyuwangi or want to do the Ijen hike!

Ana and her husband Firman was so kind to offer to pick us up at the harbour, but it was unneccessary as I was with a friend, but still, the gesture was kind! During our stay, the staff was also super helpful. Recommended their Ijen sharing trip as it was economical and fantastic!
