Very good experience at Sunset Guest House ! We arrived by public boat to Bunaken and the guest house it situated just a few meters from the arrival point. The tenants are very welcoming and can propose you tours to go snorkeling or dolphin watching. What surprised me the most was the food which was the best we had in Indonesia, and we’ve been here for 2 months. I cannot recommend this guest house enough. We spent 4 nights in total here and it was a bliss.

The family of the homestay are lovely and treat you like part of the family straight away. The food was excellent and plentiful. Not only did they cater to vegetarian and vegan diets easily, the food was delicious and a highlight of our stay. For the room, it was small but adequate with a queen size bed with a comfortable mattress. The bathroom was nice with a good pressure cool shower and flushing toilet. Aircon worked great.and was a nice treat. Ken's homestay was the place to be in the evening with live music being played by various talents from across the village. It's a fun and friendly vibe. Some nights are more lively than others which was a nice mix for us. If you are a light sleeper or go to bed early bring earplugs and it is fine. The mornings are nice and quiet and you can wake up to the sound of the waves. You can't even hear the church or the mosque! We went on two snorkelling tours and both were great ways to see other amazing snorkelling spots and we even visited the village on Manado Tua. Good value too. We extended our stay by two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Terima kasih banyak!

Two lovely adjacent bungalows in front of the beach in the village with a shared porch with a dining table and relax chairs. The host Mamalis made amazing varied food, some of the best we’ve had in Indonesia. Papa Sem has a boat for snorkeling and dolphin tours. The atmosphere is calm, close to the pier and two diving schools. Communication in English is done through Stefen, who runs a nearby homestay. He is very friendly, like Mamalis and Papasem, whom you can talk to in Indonesian and through translation apps.

A wonderful spacious clean room with a very comfortable bed and great ac and Internet. Excellent location - the food provided was more than I could eat and every meal was delicious xxx - I especially enjoyed sitting outside my room on their front patio area with the view of the ocean . It was a perfect stay! We stayed there for 4 nights and it was one of the best places we have been. It's a real island experience. You can go diving or snorkeling everyday. Frangky also offers snorkeling and dolphin tours which we did and it was amazing! We had all inclusive which was totally worth it because it tasted wonderful! The rooms are simple but really nice and comfortable. For 3€ more you can get a room with an Aircon if you need, otherwise the fan is also working quite good. Frangky also helped us to organise the trip to Gorontalo from Manado which worked out really good. All the people there are really nice and you feel welcomed from the first second. I can only recommend to stay there!

The property is in a good location and the staff is so very nice, helpful, friendly and the food was absolutely amazing. Nigel said he would come back just for the food. The diving was also very good I am told and there are turtles everywhere even if you go snorkelling off the beach you can see them all around. We will be back to Bunaken and will stay at 4 sisters (and one brother!!). Caroline and Nigel

Everything. Is the best stay I had in all my travels! - Owners can speak very good English and they are so helpfull - Food is amazing. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all very good all days - the room was clean and with airco - they help you with boattransfer and transport - The owner took me with him to see dolphins. We saw like 100 dolphins. After that we stopped for two snorklingspots, wich were so beautiful - Homestay is at the beach, when you walk 200m in the water, you van snorkle very good (so many turtles and nice coral) - just an amazing place
