- the host and his family are extremely nice people and we enjoyed talking to them and spending time with them. - very tasty food and the watermelon in the morning was great. - the surroundings are interesting and the boat trip was really worth the money ( when it got dark: bats coming out of the cave and the fireflies). - the host speaks good english and is motivated to improve the homestay and the experience of the guests - aks him to teach you dancing! maybe traditional dances? or at least this is what i would do if i would meet hin again :)

Our stay in Lauwrens was the perfect oasis in the city of Makassar- well located, immaculate, wifi, A/C, hot water, and clean and comfortable too. We used the rooftop for morning coffee and yoga, and there is a well-stocked kitchen area in case you should need to cook. The host was so kind, welcoming, and also helped us get some laundry done quickly before we left. It seemed to us a great value for what we paid as well. We already stayed here again since our first stopover in Makassar and would definitely recommend this property.

Is amazing place! Nahar and Jessie make you feel really comfy on their house, they tell you the best spots to visit ( it's all close) and who is the best boat driver ever Safar ✨️ . It was a whole experience💜 and really safe to do it by your self if you are travelling alone. I arrived by taxi from makassar, and to return Nahar helped me in everything he gave me all the options and everything!. Super safe.
