The vicinity to everything and they rent scooter

Closeness to nature, which is still unspoiled. Lots of birds, fishes and ofcourse the marine life that is easy accessible from PapuArts Alter Native Stay. Family feeling; easily to feel at home with this lovely family of four (Helga, Timon and their 2 beautiful young daughters who love to make friends). Oh, and I forgot their two sweet dogs Ringo & Dingo 🐾🐾 Owners are very helpful and speak several languages so easy to communicate with them. Internet is sometimes a bit unstable so take that into account when expecting speedy replies (sometimes it just doesn’t work and patience is a good thing to have). The food - home style cooking (breakfast, lunch and dinner are all cooked by the owner and her team and she is a great cook; we loved every meal which was perfectly catered to our vegetarian / pescatarian wishes) The rooms are close to nature as well, with very comfy beds (we stayed in both the smaller and the biggest family room, which easily fits 3 respectively 4 people; the 3rd bed in the smaller room has a wonderful treehouse feeling and there is a bunkbed in the biggest room). Hard to capture the beauty of the rooms in just one picture (I took several but could only post one here with my review). You can hear the sea and birds from your bedroom. It’s right next to you. No frills, just natural materials, which we loved. Also no warm water, but easily to get used to. There’s a shower and mandi style shower. Also your own toilet. Plus the blue blue sea right at your doorstep and a lovely sitting area with a hammock to complete the zen-feeling. There’s a long jetty into the sea with a perfect spot for exercise/meditation/yoga at the end. Fitness with a view! It’s quiet and feels very private. You instantly feel relaxed here. Different excursions to choose from, both on land and on/under the sea. Please note: these come at an extra cost and Raja Ampat area is not cheap!!!! The hosts were very accomodating and friendly.

Bungalow was perfect with private bathroom (not usual in Raja Ampat) and cozy bed. Friwen wall (snorkelling spot) at 5 minutes by boat. The best food I had in three weeks. They clean the beach and the area every day. The family was super friendly, especially Yadi, Yana and Rodi. I felt like part of the family in there. Amazing stay in Friwen, my last stop in Raja Ampat, couldn’t took a better choice.

- Very various food, which was always good and a lot - huge terrace with a sun lounger and makramee hammock - great shower with water from the top (not only bucket) - very friendly good English speaking Rio (who was always there to communicate with the guests and have some chats) - cheap transfer boats - lots of trips available to different spots - we went snorkeling with Rio and the local along the wall - turtles, sharks and other cool fish to spot while snorkeling - use MapsMe (App) to find the hidden jungle tracks that lead you too the sunset viewpoints and cool snorkeling spots MAKE SURE YOU JUMP IN THE WATER AT NIGHT FROM THE JETTY BECAUSE THERE IS FLUORESCENCE PLANKTON IN THE OCEAN WHICH WAS ABSOLUTELY MAGICAL!!!

The location, the beach and house reef were all amazing but the people and of course the amazing home cooked meals really make this place worth staying at. If we come back to Raja ampat we will return to intum 100%

We enjoyed our stay at Amfriwen. The bungalow was clean, had a fan, a mosquito net and a little shelf space. The veranda and the view were amazing. The bathroom was outside and for us one of the better facilities during our stay in Raja ampat. The food was very simple but always enough. We enjoyed our stay and say thank you to the lovely family.

Loved our stay at Warahnus. Great diving with the staff - all locally owned and run. Beautiful location with a reef to snorkel right off the beach. Delicious food and beautiful, comfortable bungalows. Will be back! :)
