We enjoyed our stay at Amfriwen. The bungalow was clean, had a fan, a mosquito net and a little shelf space. The veranda and the view were amazing. The bathroom was outside and for us one of the better facilities during our stay in Raja ampat. The food was very simple but always enough. We enjoyed our stay and say thank you to the lovely family.

We loved staying at Famangkor. We enjoyed the family feel of our hosts all pitching in to look after the guests. Friwen wall and the home reef were handy and great snorkelling spots. Very good price. Food was good. We enjoyed the short walk to through the trees to the village. Loved the tiled bathroom. Could easily have done a couple more snorkelling trips from here but we only stayed one night to be closer to Waisai.

Closeness to nature, which is still unspoiled. Lots of birds, fishes and ofcourse the marine life that is easy accessible from PapuArts Alter Native Stay. Family feeling; easily to feel at home with this lovely family of four (Helga, Timon and their 2 beautiful young daughters who love to make friends). Oh, and I forgot their two sweet dogs Ringo & Dingo 🐾🐾 Owners are very helpful and speak several languages so easy to communicate with them. Internet is sometimes a bit unstable so take that into account when expecting speedy replies (sometimes it just doesn’t work and patience is a good thing to have). The food - home style cooking (breakfast, lunch and dinner are all cooked by the owner and her team and she is a great cook; we loved every meal which was perfectly catered to our vegetarian / pescatarian wishes) The rooms are close to nature as well, with very comfy beds (we stayed in both the smaller and the biggest family room, which easily fits 3 respectively 4 people; the 3rd bed in the smaller room has a wonderful treehouse feeling and there is a bunkbed in the biggest room). Hard to capture the beauty of the rooms in just one picture (I took several but could only post one here with my review). You can hear the sea and birds from your bedroom. It’s right next to you. No frills, just natural materials, which we loved. Also no warm water, but easily to get used to. There’s a shower and mandi style shower. Also your own toilet. Plus the blue blue sea right at your doorstep and a lovely sitting area with a hammock to complete the zen-feeling. There’s a long jetty into the sea with a perfect spot for exercise/meditation/yoga at the end. Fitness with a view! It’s quiet and feels very private. You instantly feel relaxed here. Different excursions to choose from, both on land and on/under the sea. Please note: these come at an extra cost and Raja Ampat area is not cheap!!!! At a location where everything is hard to come by, Mario has managed to provide almost everything in terms of facilities and service.

This is by far the best accomodation we've been in the area. Resort style facilities without the high resort price tag or crowd. It's more expensive than a homestay but the price difference is definitely worth it if you want comfort or a beautiful accomodation. We stayed in the overwater villa and it was great, very clean, wifi, electricity, felt just like being in a 4 star hotel. Staff is very friendly, excursions great and they are very helpful with anything that you need. Reef is amazing (lots of fish, turtles, moray and occasional black tips and white tips), overall a 10 out of 10 experience.

It is such a beautiful and peaceful place in between these two cute villages, and had some of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve seen in Indonesia. The family running the homestay will do everything in their power to make you feel comfortable, and offer a good amount of trips around in the area. They are just very sweet. And I loved the food.

We felt very welcome at Husna's homestay and it was a very nice experience. Food was nice and the local tips and advice was very good. I also really enjoyed seeing the Wilson Bird of Paradise during my stay, it was also a great experience. Highly recommend this place when staying in Waisai.

The hostess is incredibly friendly and helpful, always smiling and trying to address any of your requests. She speaks very good English, communicates very efficiently and has a in-depth knowledge of the activities in Waisai and surrounding islands. Highly recommended.

Absolutely beautiful and quiet place, great location, delicious food, and amazing snorkeling trips! Family is very kind, friendly and helpful. Bungalows are spacious and clean with large terraces. Blacktip sharks are frequent visitors, especially earlier in the morning. And there is a great sunset deck (also a spot with the best signal). I would definitely recommend this place!
