We found paradise at Green Island Riverside Homestay. The place is incredibly beautiful. Located directly by the river Kadalundi, we spent three very relaxing days in the peaceful ambience of the very well maintained garden with the view over the river with its bird sanctuary and the mangrove forest. Our hosts Saheer and hues family were very welcoming and caring, they supported us from the very beginning and also provided flavourful food for breakfast and dinner. The boat trip to the birds sanctuary and mangrove forest was also a beautiful experience where we could dive into the nature's wholesome beauty that you usually only get to see in TV documentaries. Located approximately 45 min from Calicut center, this is a perfect place to experience both: the peaceful calm natural surroundings as well as the busy vibes of city. Mr Rajkumar is an excellent host, very helpful, with excellent communications. He took extra pains to make sure the stay was comfortable. It helps that he is great person to have a chat with, cant wait to hear stories of his adventures from all over the world. The flat is very close to Mavoor Road, in central Calicut.
