premises are exceptionally designed and well located; the hosts are engaging and provide authentic Keralan homestay cooking (breakfast and dinner) and are delightful and helpful with travel arrangements (facilitating transport and recommending next homestay). Absolutely beautiful room with 3 balconies. In nice, small, quiet streets about 200m from the centre, well away from being hassled by auto drivers and restaurant owners. Beautiful singing from the local church on Sunday mornings. Unlike the centre, you can see and hear a lot of birds. The hosts are brilliant, communicating well and quickly on WhatsApp. They arranged to have our washing done, they even negotiated a lower price for us.

I had such a good stay at Prakriti Homestay. The room was very clean and everything was so nicely organized. There’s a shared space with a fridge and kettle which was very useful for me. The owners are such kind and caring people, you could easily ask them anything you might need help with. I enjoyed a delicious Kerala breakfast each morning. Overall it’s a very good price for what you get. I only booked 2 nights but extended because I felt so comfortable.

    Charlotte was incredibly kind and thoughtful giving us great suggestions, based on our enquirer. Her mum made us lovely breakfast in the open plan kitchen/diner. Christopher showed us a project he was working on and spent time pulling together articles based on a conversation we had. He even sent us off with his favourite incense after we went to his favourite local store and bought perfume. A wonderful stay. We highly recommend Walton’s Homestay.

    I like the total atmosphere of the Homestay. Authentic, friendly and helpful. Breakfast with fruits, ,eggs and Toast in the kitchen around one big table. I loved the garden

    The location of Walton’s is perfect, right in the middle of Fort Kochi, whilst being quiet and peaceful. The Walton family are experts in looking after their guests, giving excellent advice on restaurants etc. My husband’s suitcase didn’t arrive at Kochi, and Charlotte made it her mission to get it to the home stay before we left, phoning the airline and “encouraging” them to sort it out, which they did. The room was simple but comfortable, looking on to a garden courtyard, full of plants about which Mrs Walton has a great knowledge.
