It was an amazing stay! Beautiful, calm, relaxing and in the middle of the djungle. The busstop to Munnar is in walking distance (approx. 5 minutes). We booked for 3 nights and stayed for one more night because we loved it so much. The entire family (parents, grandparents and the two boys) has such an amazing positive energy and is always very helpful and charming! We really felt as being a part of the family. We are so happy we found this place! Now we know why so many guest ranked the place with a 10! We would give them a 20 if we could!

This is by far one of the best hostels I’ve ever had the luck to be in. The equipment and in particular the showers is incredibly good for a hostel, more a hotel standard. The atmosphere is nevertheless really communicative and open. If you like you can meet new people there easily. The whole team and especially the front manager were super kind and helpful with all belongs (transport, information, tours, etc.). The food is really nice and the prices adequate (try the chicken 65 - I had it several times). The view is phenomenal and the location quiet. It takes you 20-30 min by bus to Munnar but I actually liked to be a bit outside of the town (which is not that beautiful). All in all if you’ve got the chance to stay in K Mansion while you’re in this part of the world, do it.

Likely our most memorable stay in India. Benny and his family were incredibly gracious hosts, helpful guides, and amazing cooks! They have an authentic and functional spice garden which Benny gave us a tour through. Honestly for a visit to Munnar it doesn’t get much better than this. You’ll need a driver to get to most of the sights (it’s about 50 minutes from Munnar town), but this is true for almost any other alternative accommodation anyway, so don’t take the distance from the town as a negative!

We had a great time at Mistletoe! The homestay is located in a remote area with great views and we had a spacious and clean room. The food that is served freshly is delicious and especially the breakfast is quite extensive! Unfortunately Joe was not able to welcome us but his sons did instead and they did everything they could to make us feel at home! His older son Nirmal even accompanied us to a sunrise hike and was an amazing company! We can only recommend the homestay if you visit Munnar :)
