A Peaceful Retreat with a Homely and Professional Touch I initially booked nearly ten nights at Thekkady House and enjoyed it so much that I extended my stay for two more nights. The house offers a homely atmosphere with a professional approach, making it perfect for solo travellers, families, or groups looking for a cosy yet well-organized environment. The two rooms on one level with an open verandah were charming, and the other level with two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a living room made it comfortable for families or groups. I recommend checking out the nearby Riya spice shop for some of Kerala's finest spices. Additionally, Thekkady House has a sister venture, Periyar Homes, located nearby, which offers spacious accommodation ideal for larger groups. The host is a lovely and dedicated woman who took great care of everything, ensuring my stay was wonderful. I’m thankful for her warm hospitality. Thekkady House is an excellent choice for a calm and convenient stop before heading to Munnar!

Amazing place with an enormous cardamom plantation. And besides this, the whole plantation is a biodiversity hotspot! The plantation includes many different species and varieties + a high overview tower. We got an amazing tour on how the cardamom is grown, but also how coffee, clover, pepper and many more fruits are cultivated. Truly amazing, would definitely recommend!

I really enjoyed my stay in this nice homestay. It is quietly located, overlooking a coffee plantation from my balcony, but everything within easy walking distance. The apartment was very clean, cozy and spacious and my host a very lovely and friendly woman. Right next door her nice sister runs a restaurant where you can eat very well. I just can recommend this wonderful place.

During a 4-week trip to India, Sopanam Heritage was my favorite place that we stayed. The hosts were extremely kind and attentive, great communicators, and helpful in so many ways. They were available to assist with transport, arrange activities, and help with logistical support for traveling. The food was delicious, and the family so kind. Coffee and Pepper is situated in a wonderful and peaceful spice garden. Our room was nice, big and bright with a balcony. It is close to Kumily and the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. George was very kind and helpful assisting us with tickets to the Wildlife Sanctuary, and he did everything to give us a great stay. We recommend Coffee and Pepper highly.
