I had a very comfortable stay at this inn, run by a Taiwanese family. The team was very friendly and welcoming, and you can contact them easily around the inn if you need any help. They are also happy to give their recommendations on good food/ activities around the area. I really enjoyed the privacy of the room — though it comes with a common toilet and washing area, the individual rooms are well-partitioned, and gives you the feeling of privacy and personal space. The room is also very cosy and clean, and comes with all I need — a table with cushioned seats, tatami mattress and a personal view of the garden when you open the windows. There are also hotels nearby you can pay for just the use of the onsen, which are well-furnished and inexpensive (~¥1000).

Jack is a wonderful and extremely friendly host who went out of his way to accomodate us. We had a great time in Isawaonsen and enjoyed trying out all of Jack's helpful tips for Onsen, restaurants and activities. He had great advice and we will definitely return!

First of all let me preface this with following information: This is the owners house. He lives on the second floor. Now when this is out of the way I cannot reccomend this enough. This is a really good lodging for its money and the owner is super nice. He picked us up at the station and even drove us to local hot springs and restaurants. He also took us close to Mt. Fuji (that costed around 5000 yen for gas) and we visited a hot spring from which we gazed at Mt. Fuji. Owner knows a bit of English and was super accommodating. Though it will help a lot if you know at least a little japanese.

The house is a typical japanese one. A nice place to stay in a quiet feeling. I had to work remotly with my company and wifi is ok. It s 10 minutes walk from the station and a supermarket Around is surrounded country house. I had conversation with the owners very kind. Sur for an other travel here at my compagny office , i will do it again there. Great week to be in the real life of a small city in a daily japanse way of life.
