My stay at Dark Horse was one of the best I have had in my whole 1 month trip to Japan. The house is very warm and welcoming, you feel like you are living at a friends’ house. Andy and his staff were very nice, and drove me and the other guests to many nice locations, including and outstanding onsen. Dinner and breakfast were very good. The beds were very comfy.

Host are super helpful and friendly! He gave me a ride to Happo bus station in order to catch up the cable car. He shared information about the climb which I was going that a route wasn’t available due to weather conditions. There’s a living room that we can gather and chat, and I met a wonderful Japanese girl there.

The property was very comfortable and the facilities were great. The owners were also very attentive and helpful. The location was good, only a 15 minute walk to Iwatake Mountain. We really enjoyed our stay!

The cottage was beautiful and in immaculate condition. It was really cosy and had great facilities. The hosts, Takashi and Miki, were lovely, very helpful and made us feel very welcome. We had a wonderful week in Hakuba and would definitely stay here again.
