Very nice traditional Japanese house, conveniently located near the metro that goes to Osaka, Nara and Kyoto. Staff was incredibly kind and even lent me their umbrella when it was raining. The place was clean, the bathroom was spacious, and the futons were very comfortable. I also enjoyed the Japanese traditional breakfast. I would definitely recommend it!

incredibly nice staff, really interesting and spacious room. Right outside the train station (South Entrance), with a restaurant below the guest house and a family mart up the road there's not much more you need. Room has air-conditioning and a nice TV (which also had a USB port you can use for charging when the TV is on)

The staff was very friendly and welcoming, the room was simple and spacious although a bit old furnishing, and it would have been good to have tea-making facilities. It was nice to have a proper bath after a long day's walk. The location is away from the city centre, but easily accessible by the Kintentsu line (Ishikiri station) and has a charm of a local residential area, and the view from the slopes of the Ikoma mountain over Osaka is superb. The shopping street which starts from the station is Ishikiri Sando, i.e. the road leading to Ishikiri Tsurugiya Jinja, a significant spiritual and historical shrine established in the mystical past about 2700 years ago. The Ishikiri Sando has beautiful Buddhist statues on the way to the Shrine, making the walk up and down the Sando very interesting.

I had the biggest room. My hosts were amazing! Every night there is opportunity to get to know them. Very welcoming and caring atmosphere. Cleaning every day to maintain consistent clean environment. Respectful and accommodating. Host helped me reserve things and was open to questions.

The owner is very kind and helpful, everything is clean, you have access to the bathroom with a wash-machine, you can use samples of towels, toothbrushes, razors etc if you don’t have any - you have full access to the kitchen with free coffee & green tea. The ambiance is really friendly and cosy - I highly recommend this guesthouse if you wanna stay in Osaka 😌 +++ for being female only!!

The best guest house I have ever stayed at !!! It was a whole experience in itself, Chika's house is very traditional (absolutely beautiful) but modern and clean. Chika's English is super good and she knows many things about her village and Japanese culture. She is very helpful and replies fast even when I did a late checkout. For 3 days I felt like I had a new family, we were all friends and spent hours watching TV and chatting all together. Breakfast is also amazing and the town had Animal Crossing vibes because everyone is so friendly. There are delicious local bakeries and restaurants as well as traditional handmade gift shops, all settled in traditional houses. This is far from the touristic non authentic experience you can have in the famous cities around. I can't wait to come back💗

This was by far my favourite stay of my Japan trip. Not only was the guest house absolutely stunning and tastefully furnished, within very close proximity to the deer park, I was welcomed so warmly and it really felt like home for the night I was there. This is more than just a guest house- this is a beautiful place to bring people from all around the world together.
